Maureen Creel might not be a “super” hero, but neither is she merely speculative. Her tales of daring have already made her a star on the campus of Gnosis College, where she hi-jacked the technology of a resident professor in order to gain the power of invisibility! Gnosis College is an environment rich in philosophy, mad science and (most importantly), porn, so you know Maureen’s got intelligence, resourcefulness and sexiness to spare.

“Tales of Gnosis College, Volume Four: Invisible Girl, Heroine,” from Dr. Faustus and Erosarts. Two guys who know beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. :iconfaustusems::iconerosarts:

Specifically put together for :iconkxhara:'s "Fat" Female Superhero contest. It might be denied, but hey! It's a new picture of Maureen, and a sneak peek at the residents of the State Home For Wayward Girls from "Invisible Girl, Heroine."

To my understanding, the contest is suppose to be an action against the overdone objectification of superheroines. I don't think... a porn oriented heroine would be exactly appropriate for the contest... even if the girls does come in various sizes.

But ahh... I guess... to each his own?

An entirely valid point. Points, in fact; both your concern, and the part about "to each his own."

My defense would be this: "Tales of Gnosis College" is (I think) a pretty different take on a comic with porn in it. It's mostly about things that just happen to eventually wind up involving a lot of erotic mad science and fetish-sex, and the women in it are not occupying very traditional porn-roles for the most part. Maureen, Iris, Anwei, Nanetta and Moira have all been intelligent, adventurous and confident characters who wind up in crazy, kinky situations which they are largely responsible for choosing to be a part of.

My second thought would be that the contest is more about departing from the "standards" of beauty which have been established in most of our media outlets, as opposed to whether or not the character and their adventures would be accepted by a G - PG panel of producers.

Lastly: would it help if I said she was involved "erotic" adventures instead? I'm kidding.

Thanks for your comment!

Good luck with the comic.

Well, when you look at the other super-heroines dressed in leotards in bras...I think seeing an earthier heroine in jeans and a t-shirt is refreshing.

Oh, I think shirt and jeans are great. No mistake there. But the rest of the girls are wearing a lot less. (Not that there's anything wrong with that...)

Also, it's specifically stated in the comments that the school is rich in porn. I don't think I'm mistaken on the artist's intentions.

I think you've got the best ensemble diversity in terms of body type and ethnicity. Yay! Maureen looks awesome. And smart!

Thanks very much! I'm still not entirely comfortable with my renderings of folks of different sizes and ethnicities, but I'm getting forced to flex my "observation skills" by my clients. Which is a good thing. That which does not kill me and all that!

I think you're off to a great start. I'd love to see more artists doing diverse ensemble work like this. It would really help the cookiecutter issue.
